STUREHOV MANOR AND MUSEUM
Many of the craftsmen working at the Royal Palace of Stockholm were also employed here. The owner, Johan Liljencrantz, was Minister of Finance who succeeded to reduce the Swedish budget deficits and state debts. He was also owner of the ceramic manufacturing works Marieberg, and ordered them to make stoves decorated with Mariebergs famous ceramic tiles. Here can be found a large number of these Marieberg Stoves. The building is one of the finest of its period and is very well preserved in its early form because later owners could not afford to modernize the building and its interior.
